We're Making History β And We Need Your Help! π³οΈ
First, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing donors β your continued support has powered this movement. Our small but mighty team of two has been racing across the country, and the momentum is incredible!
The Situation: A Critical Opportunity π«
We're in the final stretch, and our student organizers have identified a crucial need: keeping students in line on Election Day to ensure their votes are counted. The majority of students will vote on Election Day, making this our highest strategic priority.
Listen to one of out total rockstar student organizers, Jen Anderson at Montana State, on how MSU College Dems are going to make sure college students stay in line and vote on Election Day!
The Plan: Operation Keep The Kids In Line π―
In addition to 30 donut GOTV events we have planned for the next two days at college campuses in AZ, GA, LA, MI, MT, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OK, PA, TX, WI, we also decided to offer additional funding to four exceptional student organizers (Jen Anderson, Sloan Duvall, Jonathan Alvarenga and Jacob Marson) at large, key campuses where races will come down to young voter turnout:
Montana State (Senate)
Arizona State (WH/Senate/House/State)
University of Houston (Senate)
UNC Chapel Hill (WH/Gov/State)
Listen to the amazing College Democrats leader Sloan Duvall at UNC - Chapel Hill on their plan for Election Day!
Our Strategic Ask: $8K in 24 Hours β°
Each of the above four campuses needs an additional $2,000 to provide voter support packages (water, snacks and fun items) for students waiting in line and we need your help today!
(And yes, this is completely within election rules when distributed outside polling zones and not conditioned on voting for a certain candidate.)
Why This Matters
We've been incredibly careful with your donations β every dollar goes directly to student GOTV efforts. We don't ask unless it's crucial, and this final push could make the difference in multiple races.
The Impact
Your support now will help thousands of students stay in line to vote. Many of these races are expected to be incredibly close, and youth voter turnout will be decisive.
Ready to help us cross the finish line? Every contribution gets us closer to our $8K goal! πͺ

From the Ground in Las Vegas: Why Every Conversation Matters
What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas β especially when it comes to democracy!
Shout out to our besties who have flown in from all over the country to join HH. This is our only mom-led GOTV effort on campuses this cycle and itβs been so fun, and so effective. (Weβre telling you - there is nothing like Big Mom energy on a college campus. The college kids really seem to appreciate it (and the donuts) and it truly feels like a privilege to talk these incredible young people about why they matter.)
Last Wednesday, the first day of early voting at UNLV, our team hit the ground with 500 donuts, and the response was so overwhelming we had to scramble for 500 more. Here's what we have accomplished so far (still two days and three events to go!):
The Numbers Tell a Story
Wednesday: 1,000+ students in just 6 hours
Thursday: 1,200+ students in 5 hours
Friday: 750+ students and staff
Saturday: Even on a quiet day at this commuter campus, we connected with 100+ students
But the real story isn't just in the numbers β it's in the conversations.
Every Conversation Counts
For every donut we shared, we made sure each student was registered, had a solid plan to vote AND texted their friends a screenshot of our voting info flyer. And with the kids who were undecided about whether to even vote or who to vote for, we' also had longer conversations about what matters to them and why their vote is so important.
Weβve also been talking to everyone we cross paths with - Uber drivers, security guards, waiters, bartenders and sales clerks about their plan to vote. Weβve had incredible needle-moving conversations (more on that in the next newsletter).
This is why we do this work. This is how we build a stronger democracy β one conversation, one voter, one donut at a time.
Your support makes these vital conversations possible. Help us keep this momentum going through Election Day!
In your corner,
HH&ML
